This is especially true if you are working at an event where there are plenty of people around you. As a result, the need for a special backpack becomes a necessity if you want to get serious about your craft.

If you have a laptop (up to 15”) and numerous lenses, speedlights, and other attachments to carry around, you might consider the Lowepro ProTactic 450 AW. This backpack isn’t that big, but will still be enough for hauling around up to 8 lenses, a tripod or two, cameras, and all the parts necessary for carrying your photography equipment to and from your gig with ease.

The only alternative to having dividers for your camera equipment is to specially wrap and protect your camera and camera parts in a backpack with larger compartment spaces.

The nice thing about this backpack is that it comes with MaxFit System dividers, which can safely store one or two professional cameras, your laptop, a tablet, microphones, a tripod, and all the other accessories you need.

What is especially attractive about the MaxFit System Dividers is that they are Velcro-secured and adjustable. With the customizable ability to produce your own sections, you will be able to have around 10-12 padded sections in the main compartment of your backpack.

Of course, you can always remove a divider or two if you need the extra space.

The worst thing that could happen to a photographer who is doing work outside is rainy or snowy weather.

As a result, the need for equipment to protect yourself from natural elements becomes a necessity.

One nice thing about this backpack is that it comes with a rain fly cover which fits snugly onto your backpack so that you can protect your gear from wet weather.

Unless you are slow to put your equipment away when the rain first starts, you should never have to worry about receiving any sort of water damage on your camera when bad weather comes. 

In the event of rain or snow while you are outside, stop what you are doing, put the camera and parts away.

Once you do this, simply slip over the included water cover and walk back to your car or shelter.

Although the Lowepro ProTactic 450 AW backpack provides plenty of space for storing and protecting your cameras and other accessories, sometimes the moment strikes. 

In the event of a picture-perfect moment, that last thing you need to do is put down your bag, zip open the bag, sift through accessories, find your camera, and then accordingly lose the shot.

Since this backpack has easy-access pockets that can easily (and safely) store your camera, you will never have to worry about this dilemma again. To grab your camera, the worst thing you will have to do is let one strap loose and quickly grab your camera from one of the side-entry pockets.

If you own a laptop and/or tablet that you like to carry with you to your events, you will be happy to know that you have separate space for them. Much like other backpacks that you have probably seen, the inside pocket closest to your back also can safely store a laptop on the inside.

What is nice about this backpack is that it can store laptops up to 15”, which is enough space for most people. Unless you have a monster laptop or tablet, you should be able to snugly fit your computer into the pocket and easily zip up the pocket.

Of course, this pocket is protected with padding on both sides so that you won’t have to worry much about setting down your backpack on the top or bottom.

If you estimate that you will need some extra space for storing things like a tripod or extra cords this backpack will still have you covered. With a tripod cup, an accessory case, and two cinch straps, and a wattle bottle pouch, there is a total of 5 modular accessories to accommodate for photographers with extra needs.

Most photographers simply won’t need a backpack with more space than this one provides. Unless you need to carry around hefty equipment that cannot fit inside a backpack, the dividers in this backpack and included accessory case and straps should be enough to store everything you have. Summary

Since the Lowepro ProTactic 450 AW has a great deal of space for storing all of your equipment, many photographers will consider this to be the best camera backpack for their personal needs.
